28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
Kings Mountain Baptist Church exists to bring glory to God by making disciples through our mission. Out of this, Christ-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities.
Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our Christian calling. By volunteering to serve through programs at Kings Mountain Baptist Church, every person in the church has the opportunity to serve and to live their calling more faithfully. Volunteers embody Christian love in action by bringing their diverse talents to mission programs and local outreach ministries.
Imagine what our families, church, and community would be like if we all took the time to do what God uniquely designed each of us to do in serving others. The ripple effect of each person making their unique contribution would result in a revolution of Christ’s love being felt in tangible, life-changing ways. Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, consider making the kind of impact that only you can make. Your life will never be the same!
Begin by asking yourself, “What am I passionate about?” What issue or people group really catches your interest? What problem or issue would you like to solve?
Next, consider how God has uniquely wired you. Consider your personality, skills, abilities, and life experiences. How could these help you make a meaningful contribution in the lives of others?
