Joining a church is a very important decision

When anyone enters into a relationship with God by faith in Jesus Christ, they are making a personal commitment to Jesus and to the church. The church is not a building but the body of Believers in Jesus who gather together to worship.

Becoming a member of Kings Mountain Baptist Church allows you to express your identity as belonging to the family of God.  It is an outlet to serve others, partnering with followers of Jesus to help each other grow in grace and exalt God in all ways of life.

Therefore, if you are looking for a place to walk with Jesus as a part of a larger community of faith, then we welcome you to join Kings Mountain Baptist Church. Your desire for membership can be expressed to the Pastor during a personal meeting. During this time, he will want to hear your personal story, profession of faith and by which means you desire to join KMBC. Those means are listed below.

Pastor will then recommend that the church vote to receive you as a member. After that vote, you will be publicly and officially received and welcomed into membership by the current church members.

By Profession of Faith:
If you professing for the first time Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we invite you to join KMBC as a new believer.  New Believers are received into membership after they have made a profession of faith and have received believer’s baptism by immersion.

By Letter:
If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, should God lead you to join us here, we will be happy to welcome you into our church family.

By Baptism:
If you have previously confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior but have not followed Him in obedience of faith by baptism, we invite you to join by baptism. Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This gives testimony of your salvation and your obedience to Christ’s example.

By Statement:
If your church membership records are unavailable or if you are presently a member of another church of like faith and order, you can join on statement that you have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior and have been baptized by immersion in water.
